WEBVTT 00:31.820 --> 00:35.100 My name is Tom Friess, and I'll be your host for the next hour. 00:35.420 --> 00:38.200 You're listening to FirstAmendmentRadio .com. 00:38.280 --> 00:39.360 Thanks for tuning in. 00:39.820 --> 00:42.640 And we'll do, as always, get right to business here. 00:42.860 --> 00:47.960 In reading and discussing the book, A Woman Rides the Beast, by Dave Hunt. 00:48.080 --> 00:51.140 We're in the chapter entitled, Sola Scriptura. 00:51.980 --> 00:56.680 This is a uniquely Protestant proclamation. 00:57.320 --> 00:59.600 Sola Scriptura, the scriptures alone. 00:59.980 --> 01:08.600 We'll begin reading at the chapter break on page 337, near the top of the page, 01:08.660 --> 01:11.720 where it says, God's word speaks directly to all. 01:13.080 --> 01:18.860 In Old Testament times, the common people were expected to know God's word, 01:18.860 --> 01:23.880 not through rabbinical interpretation, but for themselves. 01:24.620 --> 01:26.200 And they were able to know it. 01:27.420 --> 01:34.760 That fact, as well as its availability to all, is very clear from Christ's rebuke of 01:34.760 --> 01:37.080 the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. 01:37.900 --> 01:44.260 Quote, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. 01:44.260 --> 01:47.380 Luke, chapter 24, verse 25. 01:48.240 --> 01:53.160 He would not have used such harsh language in holding these two ordinary people 01:53.160 --> 01:58.660 responsible for their ignorance of the prophecies, had not all the Old Testament 01:58.660 --> 02:03.180 scriptures been readily available, familiar, and understandable to the 02:03.180 --> 02:04.000 ordinary Jew. 02:04.820 --> 02:11.340 He then expounded unto them in all the scriptures, which therefore must have been 02:11.340 --> 02:14.340 known, the things concerning himself. 02:14.780 --> 02:18.920 Luke, chapter 24, verse 25 and 27, through 27. 02:20.520 --> 02:26.780 All of the scriptures were even available to the faraway Bereans, north of Greece, 02:27.160 --> 02:32.080 who, as we have seen, quote, searched the scriptures daily. 02:32.760 --> 02:33.320 Unquote. 02:33.900 --> 02:35.940 Acts, chapter 17, verse 11. 02:36.660 --> 02:41.880 The same evidence is found in the fact that Timothy knew the Old Testament from 02:41.880 --> 02:48.420 early childhood, as recorded in 2 Timothy, chapter 3, verse 15, and that it was 02:48.420 --> 02:54.900 taught to him not by the rabbis in the synagogue, but at home by his mother and 02:54.900 --> 02:58.960 grandmother, who themselves were women of faith. 02:59.700 --> 03:02.640 See 2 Timothy, chapter 1, verse 5. 03:03.860 --> 03:11.100 It is certainly clear that no one in Old Testament times looked to any hierarchy 03:11.630 --> 03:16.920 for an official interpretation of the scripture, nor did the early church, 03:17.640 --> 03:19.420 nor should we today. 03:20.680 --> 03:25.440 The plain words of the Bible, without Rome's domineering interpretation, 03:26.260 --> 03:31.240 give the lie to the hierarchical structure of the Roman Catholic Church and the 03:31.240 --> 03:33.260 authoritarianism of its clergy. 03:34.500 --> 03:40.800 Priscilla and Aquila were an ordinary husband and wife, who labored daily in 03:40.800 --> 03:41.460 tent-making. 03:41.800 --> 03:43.860 Acts, chapter 18, verse 3. 03:44.700 --> 03:49.060 Yet, a church met in their house, it says according to the scripture, 03:49.220 --> 03:56.920 1 Corinthians, chapter 16, verse 19, and they were capable teachers of God's 03:56.920 --> 04:02.420 word, even instructing a man so eloquent as Apollos. 04:02.620 --> 04:05.140 Acts, chapter 18, verse 26. 04:06.340 --> 04:11.440 Paul referred to them as, quote, my helpers in Jesus Christ. 04:12.440 --> 04:14.260 Romans, 16, 3. 04:15.020 --> 04:21.760 They had never been to seminary and were not part of a clerical hierarchy, 04:22.380 --> 04:31.920 a clergy class, which didn't even exist, but they knew God and His word by the Holy 04:31.920 --> 04:33.480 Spirit indwelling them. 04:34.380 --> 04:36.300 So should all Christians today. 04:37.340 --> 04:46.880 According to Paul, ordinary Christians are to judge whether a preacher is speaking 04:46.880 --> 04:47.820 God's truth. 04:48.820 --> 04:54.140 Paul submitted his writings to the same criteria, inviting his readers to judge by 04:54.140 --> 04:58.620 the Holy Spirit within them, whether his epistles were from God or not. 04:59.280 --> 05:05.500 Quote, if any man think himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge 05:05.500 --> 05:09.680 that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 05:10.400 --> 05:13.140 First Corinthians, chapter 14, verse 37. 05:14.200 --> 05:19.100 It was by the same witness of the Holy Spirit within each individual believer 05:19.600 --> 05:26.260 that the first century church decided which books were canonical, in exactly the 05:26.260 --> 05:30.860 same way Christians today recognize the Bible as God's inspired word. 05:31.740 --> 05:36.560 They didn't need the Roman Catholic Church to tell them what books of the Bible were 05:36.560 --> 05:37.120 canonical. 05:38.440 --> 05:44.160 They didn't need any other witness but the witness of the Holy Spirit through the 05:44.160 --> 05:48.420 words of the books that they regarded as canonical. 05:49.840 --> 05:52.440 Now, the sad consequences. 05:54.200 --> 06:00.320 Unfortunately, the average Roman Catholic has been taught to look to the Roman 06:00.320 --> 06:05.880 Catholic Church hierarchy for the instruction which the Holy Spirit desires 06:05.880 --> 06:07.940 to give directly to every believer. 06:09.220 --> 06:15.020 To roam, to suggest that the Holy Spirit speaks to individuals through the words of 06:15.020 --> 06:16.900 the Bible is anathema. 06:17.900 --> 06:22.040 Karl Keating, one of the leading Roman Catholic lay apologists writes, 06:22.460 --> 06:28.300 quote, the Catholic believes in inspiration because the church tells him 06:28.300 --> 06:28.660 so. 06:29.380 --> 06:30.800 That's putting it bluntly. 06:31.520 --> 06:35.700 And that same church has the authority to interpret the inspired text. 06:36.860 --> 06:41.120 Fundamentals have no interpreting authority other than themselves. 06:42.840 --> 06:43.520 Unquote. 06:43.680 --> 06:50.320 So, he's simply suggesting that fundamentalists or Protestants have no 06:50.320 --> 06:52.500 interpreting authority at all. 06:54.560 --> 06:58.140 They don't have the authority to interpret God's word. 06:58.480 --> 07:01.420 It's funny, the Bible says it interprets itself, doesn't it? 07:03.360 --> 07:08.840 They're also suggesting by this comment that Protestants, Bible believers, 07:09.800 --> 07:13.960 who do not rely upon the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church for anything, 07:15.180 --> 07:18.980 cannot possess or cannot be indwelled by the Holy Spirit. 07:21.460 --> 07:25.500 That's the difference between Roman Catholicism and true Bible-believing 07:25.500 --> 07:26.220 Christianity. 07:27.960 --> 07:34.840 Now, in fact, fundamentalists look to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 07:36.280 --> 07:43.180 Catholicism also claims that guidance, but only for its hierarchy, who alone can 07:43.180 --> 07:45.940 be led by the Spirit to understand the Bible. 07:47.000 --> 07:48.760 So says the Roman Catholic Church. 07:49.920 --> 07:56.540 Yet the Bible says every Christian is indwelt, empowered, and led by the Holy 07:56.540 --> 07:56.940 Spirit. 07:57.640 --> 07:59.440 That's what the Bible says. 08:01.280 --> 08:05.460 Rome says only the priesthood are led by the Holy Spirit. 08:06.260 --> 08:11.600 The Bible says every Christian is indwelt, empowered, and led by the Holy Spirit. 08:12.140 --> 08:16.400 In fact, one's not even a Christian without this inner witness and leading of 08:16.400 --> 08:17.100 the Holy Spirit. 08:17.300 --> 08:17.680 Quote. 08:18.550 --> 08:22.980 Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 08:23.980 --> 08:28.900 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 08:29.820 --> 08:36.320 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are, that we are the 08:36.320 --> 08:37.300 children of God. 08:37.980 --> 08:41.720 Romans chapter 8, verse 9, 14, and 16. 08:43.760 --> 08:44.960 Another quote. 08:45.760 --> 08:51.860 But God hath revealed them, that is, the things of God, unto us by his Spirit. 08:52.660 --> 08:57.480 For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 08:57.760 --> 09:02.620 The things of God knoweth no man but by the Spirit of God. 09:03.760 --> 09:10.100 Now we have received not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, 09:10.100 --> 09:17.060 that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God, which things 09:17.060 --> 09:25.240 also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy 09:25.240 --> 09:26.300 Spirit teacheth. 09:27.040 --> 09:29.920 First Corinthians chapter 2, verse 10 through 13. 09:31.340 --> 09:35.500 Having been convinced that he cannot understand the Bible for himself, 09:35.500 --> 09:42.440 the devout Roman Catholic is at the mercy of his church and must believe whatever it 09:42.440 --> 09:43.060 teaches. 09:43.840 --> 09:49.820 The Roman Catholic Catechism of Catholic doctrine bluntly declares, quote, 09:50.520 --> 09:57.340 man can obtain a knowledge of God's word only from the Catholic Church and through 09:57.340 --> 09:59.760 its duly constituted channels. 10:00.760 --> 10:05.660 When he has once mastered this principle of divine authority residing in the 10:05.660 --> 10:13.220 church, the inquirer is prepared to accept whatever the divine church teaches on 10:13.220 --> 10:17.240 faith, morals and the means of grace, unquote. 10:18.180 --> 10:24.840 Here again brazenly stated is the first principle of every cult, quote, 10:25.200 --> 10:30.980 check your mind at the door and believe whatever the group or the church or the 10:30.980 --> 10:35.340 guru or the prophet in charge says, unquote. 10:36.280 --> 10:42.380 The idea appeals to those who think that by this surrendering their minds to an 10:42.380 --> 10:47.980 infallible authority, they somehow escape their individual moral responsibility to 10:47.980 --> 10:48.380 God. 10:49.360 --> 10:53.940 Others are afraid to think for themselves because that would put them outside the 10:53.940 --> 11:00.100 church, where, quote, there is no salvation, unquote, according to the Roman 11:00.100 --> 11:01.280 Catholic Church teaching. 11:02.340 --> 11:07.200 By this means God's word, which should speak powerfully to each individual, 11:07.960 --> 11:13.420 is held just out of reach of individual Roman Catholics by their church. 11:14.600 --> 11:18.500 So when was the New Testament canon established? 11:19.600 --> 11:22.380 When was the New Testament canon established? 11:22.940 --> 11:29.840 We are taught by the Roman Catholic Church that they established the canon of the New 11:29.840 --> 11:30.280 Testament. 11:31.580 --> 11:33.500 What is the truth of the matter? 11:35.200 --> 11:41.800 Dave Hunt says that the New Testament canon, exactly like the old, was accepted 11:41.800 --> 11:46.200 and recognized by a consensus of the believers as it was being written, 11:47.020 --> 11:50.400 is clear from the historic evidence we have given above. 11:51.460 --> 11:54.280 Further proof comes from the testimony of Peter. 11:54.920 --> 12:01.040 Quote, even as our beloved brother Paul, also according to the wisdom given unto 12:01.040 --> 12:08.160 him, hath written it unto you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in 12:08.160 --> 12:13.480 them of things in which some things are hard to be understood, which they that are 12:13.480 --> 12:20.180 unlearned and unable twist, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own 12:20.180 --> 12:20.820 destruction. 12:22.400 --> 12:25.220 2 Peter 3, verse 15 and 16. 12:25.220 --> 12:32.960 Now obviously, the disciples considered all of Paul's writings scripture. 12:35.360 --> 12:43.920 Was it not they who canonized Paul's writings, the disciples and the believers, 12:45.000 --> 12:52.080 once they had read Paul's writings and verified it through God's word and also 12:52.080 --> 12:54.640 through the witness of the Holy Spirit within them? 12:56.360 --> 13:00.460 What is this nonsense that the Roman Catholic Church gave us the Bible? 13:01.920 --> 13:04.040 It's just simply that, nonsense. 13:05.700 --> 13:09.800 Now Peter acknowledges Paul's writings to be scripture. 13:11.000 --> 13:15.080 So has apparently the entire body of believers at this time. 13:15.860 --> 13:22.040 The other scriptures, by that time, would have included most of the remainder 13:22.040 --> 13:22.940 of the New Testament. 13:24.000 --> 13:28.740 Furthermore, these books were so readily available and well-known by common 13:28.740 --> 13:36.300 consensus, already at this early date, about 66 AD, that Peter didn't even need 13:36.300 --> 13:37.340 to name the books. 13:38.620 --> 13:43.840 Christians knew what writings were inspired of God in the same way a native 13:43.840 --> 13:49.840 in the jungle knows that the gospel is true, by the convicting power of the Holy 13:49.840 --> 13:50.320 Spirit. 13:51.740 --> 13:57.040 Tragically, Roman Catholicism not only teaches that the church hierarchy alone 13:57.040 --> 14:02.120 can interpret the Bible, but that no one can believe it without the church 14:02.120 --> 14:04.020 attesting to its authenticity. 14:05.540 --> 14:10.480 Keating suggests that the gospel itself has no power without this endorsement. 14:10.480 --> 14:17.280 He quotes Roman Catholic Saint Augustine, I would not believe in the gospel if the 14:17.280 --> 14:20.520 authority of the Roman Catholic Church did not move me to do so. 14:21.820 --> 14:30.360 If that's true, then no one prior to the Third Council of Carthage in 397 AD could 14:30.360 --> 14:32.760 have believed or preached the gospel. 14:33.940 --> 14:37.920 Yet the gospel was preached from the very beginning. 14:38.880 --> 14:42.040 Paul turned the world upside down with the gospel. 14:42.240 --> 14:44.360 See Acts chapter 17 verse 6. 14:45.260 --> 14:51.640 Within the first two centuries, just two centuries, about 10% of the Roman 14:51.640 --> 14:59.320 Empire became Christians and studied, meditated upon, believed, and were led 14:59.320 --> 15:04.860 both by the Old and the New Testament Scriptures exactly as we have them today. 15:05.860 --> 15:11.580 If they could know what books were inspired, if they, those early Christians, 15:12.780 --> 15:17.960 could know what books were inspired and could be guided by them without the 15:17.960 --> 15:24.060 authenticating stamp of the Roman Catholic Church, which didn't even exist then, 15:25.140 --> 15:26.740 then so can we today. 15:27.820 --> 15:33.440 The absurdity and destructiveness of the view that God's word must have Rome's 15:33.440 --> 15:36.180 endorsement is immediately apparent. 15:37.620 --> 15:44.940 It is a blasphemous denial that the gospel in itself has power to save or that the 15:44.940 --> 15:49.700 Holy Spirit can use the Bible to speak directly to hearers' hearts. 15:50.980 --> 15:55.720 Under this view, one must first prove that the Roman Catholic Church is the one true 15:55.720 --> 16:00.400 church, that it is infallible, that it says the Bible is true, 16:00.400 --> 16:03.920 and that therefore the Bible and the gospel must be believed. 16:04.840 --> 16:07.100 Only then can the gospel be preached. 16:08.320 --> 16:09.260 How absurd! 16:10.320 --> 16:15.960 Yet to a Catholic, this view makes perfect sense because the church is the vehicle of 16:15.960 --> 16:17.440 salvation, they are told. 16:19.000 --> 16:23.920 One's eternal destiny depends not upon one's relationship to Christ, who is 16:23.920 --> 16:29.980 revealed in His word, but upon one's relationship to that Roman Catholic Church 16:29.980 --> 16:33.560 and participation in its sacraments. 16:34.440 --> 16:37.880 This theory, of course, is refuted by the Bible itself. 16:38.920 --> 16:43.420 Christ and His disciples preached the gospel before any church was established. 16:44.660 --> 16:49.480 Early in His ministry, before even saying anything about establishing His church, 16:49.480 --> 16:54.940 Christ sent His disciples forth, and they departed and went through the 16:54.940 --> 16:57.080 towns, preaching the gospel. 16:57.720 --> 17:00.020 Luke chapter 9, verse 6. 17:00.840 --> 17:05.800 Eleven times in the four gospels, we are told that Christ and His disciples 17:05.800 --> 17:13.860 were engaged in preaching the gospel, a gospel which is the power of God unto 17:13.860 --> 17:17.400 salvation, to those who believe. 17:17.400 --> 17:19.980 Romans chapter 1, verse 16. 17:21.100 --> 17:26.280 Yet, there was no Roman Catholic Church in existence to verify that the gospel was 17:26.280 --> 17:32.200 true, nor does today's preaching need Rome's endorsement any more than it did in 17:32.200 --> 17:32.740 the beginning. 17:34.300 --> 17:40.400 Three thousand souls were saved on the day of Pentecost without Peter saying one word 17:40.400 --> 17:45.180 about an infallible church, putting its approval on what he preached. 17:46.000 --> 17:51.760 Even after Pentecost, we find no attempt by Christians who, quote, went everywhere 17:51.760 --> 17:57.340 preaching the word, Acts chapter 8, verse 4, to prove that an infallible 17:57.340 --> 17:59.580 church existed and endorsed the gospel. 18:00.640 --> 18:06.280 We read of the preaching of Philip in Samaria, and of Paul in many places, 18:06.860 --> 18:12.420 where multitudes believed, yet not once is the gospel supported by the statement that 18:12.420 --> 18:17.240 Christ established an infallible church, and that the bishops of his church had put 18:17.240 --> 18:21.200 their official stamp of approval upon what was being preached. 18:21.900 --> 18:27.400 If the endorsement of the Roman Catholic Church wasn't needed then, neither is it 18:27.400 --> 18:28.360 needed now. 18:28.840 --> 18:35.020 For the word of God is, quote, living and powerful, a discerner of the 18:35.020 --> 18:36.620 thoughts and intents of the heart. 18:37.260 --> 18:39.440 Hebrews chapter 4, verse 12. 18:40.580 --> 18:45.880 We have the sufficiency of the scriptures to guide us. 18:46.580 --> 18:52.960 Quote, show us one verse in the Bible that clearly declares sola scriptura, 18:53.540 --> 19:00.440 that the Bible is sufficient in itself, unquote, is the specious challenge thrown 19:00.440 --> 19:02.640 out by Roman Catholic apologists. 19:03.420 --> 19:09.100 One might as well demand, quote, just one verse that states that God is a 19:09.100 --> 19:12.840 triune being of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, unquote. 19:13.520 --> 19:15.680 No single verse says so. 19:16.560 --> 19:20.940 Yet the doctrine of the Trinity is accepted by both Catholics and Protestants 19:20.940 --> 19:21.760 as biblical. 19:22.940 --> 19:27.900 Nor is there a single verse which contains the words, quote, the Bible is sufficient, 19:28.260 --> 19:28.620 unquote. 19:29.380 --> 19:33.460 However, when we put together the many verses in the Bible on this topic, 19:33.460 --> 19:39.780 it is clear that the Bible teaches its own sufficiency, both to authenticate itself 19:39.780 --> 19:45.420 to the reader and to lead to spiritual maturity and effectiveness all who are 19:45.420 --> 19:49.220 indwelt by the Holy Spirit and read it with open hearts. 19:50.460 --> 19:56.140 Paul declared that scripture was given for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, 19:56.600 --> 20:02.000 for instruction in righteousness, and that the Bible itself makes the man or 20:02.000 --> 20:08.280 woman of God perfect, that is, mature, complete, all that God intended, 20:09.340 --> 20:16.480 thoroughly furnished and equipped unto all good works, 2 Timothy 3, verses 16 and 17. 20:17.220 --> 20:22.600 In other words, the Bible contains all the doctrine, all the correction, all the 20:22.600 --> 20:27.900 instruction in righteousness that is needed for those who heed it to become 20:27.900 --> 20:29.580 complete in Christ. 20:30.680 --> 20:35.620 Catholic apologist, quote, 19th century cardinal John Henry Newman to the effect 20:35.620 --> 20:41.540 that if this passage proves the above, then it, quote, proves too much, 20:41.820 --> 20:47.500 unquote, that, quote, the Old Testament alone would be sufficient as a rule of 20:47.500 --> 20:53.940 faith, the New Testament unnecessary, unquote, because all Timothy had was the 20:53.940 --> 20:54.640 Old Testament. 20:55.340 --> 20:58.680 The argument is fallacious for several reasons. 20:58.820 --> 21:02.680 First of all, Timothy had more than the Old Testament. 21:04.020 --> 21:10.140 This is Paul's second epistle to him, so he has at least two epistles from Paul 21:10.140 --> 21:11.800 in addition to the Old Testament. 21:13.000 --> 21:18.600 Paul goes on to say that he is about to be martyred in 2 Timothy 4, verses 6-8, 21:19.060 --> 21:23.120 making it this the last epistle Paul wrote. 21:23.120 --> 21:27.360 So Timothy obviously has all of Paul's epistles. 21:28.480 --> 21:35.500 The date is probably around 66 AD, so he also has the first three gospels and 21:35.500 --> 21:37.600 most of the rest of the New Testament. 21:38.840 --> 21:44.580 Furthermore, when Paul says all scripture, it is clear that he means the entire 21:44.580 --> 21:48.320 Bible, not merely that which had been written up to that time. 21:49.320 --> 21:55.480 Similar expressions are often used in scripture, but they never mean only the 21:55.480 --> 21:57.220 Bible written to that time. 21:58.140 --> 22:04.540 When Jesus said, quote, the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in 22:04.540 --> 22:05.440 the last day. 22:05.920 --> 22:08.100 John chapter 12, verse 48. 22:08.720 --> 22:13.240 He didn't mean only what he had spoken to that time. 22:14.200 --> 22:19.880 Likewise, when he said, quote, thy word is truth, John 17, 17, 22:20.780 --> 22:26.920 he obviously meant all of God's word, though all had not yet been written. 22:28.060 --> 22:33.020 When the writer of the Hebrews said, quote, the word of God is living and 22:33.020 --> 22:39.300 powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, he didn't mean only that part of 22:39.300 --> 22:45.100 the word of God that had been written to that time, nor did Paul by, quote, 22:45.260 --> 22:50.960 all scripture, unquote, mean only that which had been written to that time. 22:51.820 --> 22:53.740 He clearly meant all scripture. 22:55.380 --> 22:58.960 So Cardinal Newman was wrong, and naively so. 22:59.900 --> 23:05.240 Yet, Catholic apologists confidently quote his folly to disprove the sufficiency of 23:05.240 --> 23:05.640 scripture. 23:06.960 --> 23:13.740 Quote, that the man of God be perfect, unquote, simply means that the word of God 23:13.740 --> 23:20.100 is all one needs to be perfect, in the sense of being mature and all that 23:20.100 --> 23:22.280 God wants a Christian to be. 23:23.600 --> 23:27.960 Catholic apologists refer to other verses where the word perfect is used, 23:28.080 --> 23:33.780 such as, quote, if you would be perfect, sell all that you have and give to the 23:33.780 --> 23:41.600 poor, unquote, or, quote, let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be 23:41.600 --> 23:44.020 perfect and entire, etc. 23:45.260 --> 23:53.040 Then they contend that if it be argued from 2 Timothy 3, verse 17, that the Bible 23:53.040 --> 23:58.960 is sufficient to perfect believers, then selling everyone one has and giving 23:58.960 --> 24:05.200 it to the poor, or being patient, is also sufficient to make one perfect. 24:06.260 --> 24:08.240 Again, the argument fails. 24:09.340 --> 24:13.900 Suppose an athletic trainer offers a perfect diet, with all the nutritional 24:13.900 --> 24:16.680 elements one needs to produce a perfect body. 24:17.580 --> 24:22.640 This doesn't mean that other things, such as exercise, aren't necessary. 24:23.420 --> 24:24.560 See the reasoning? 24:25.340 --> 24:29.160 We'll continue with the reading and discussion of the book, A Woman Rides a 24:29.160 --> 24:31.880 Beast, by Dave Hunt, when we get back from the break. 24:31.940 --> That's CrossTheBorder.org When it comes to prophecy today, much of the Evangelical 25:32.440 --> 25:37.280 Christian world has their eyes on Israel, waiting and watching to see when the Third 25:37.280 --> 25:38.600 Temple will begin to be built. 25:38.600 --> 25:40.400 The plans are drawn. 25:40.520 --> 25:41.840 The Jewish people are eager. 25:42.480 --> 25:46.160 Most Evangelical Christians today believe that the rapture will happen before the 25:46.160 --> 25:47.140 Third Temple is built. 25:47.640 --> 25:49.100 Hi, I'm Michael Eugene. 25:49.640 --> 25:52.280 I was taught that Daniel's 70th week was in the future. 25:52.880 --> 25:54.520 Is that really what the Bible teaches? 25:55.200 --> 25:58.140 Have we searched the scriptures and found this to be true? 25:58.660 --> 26:02.480 Why is it so important for a re-established Israel to build a Third 26:02.480 --> 26:03.320 Temple in Jerusalem? 26:03.320 --> 26:08.560 Is it necessary to build a temple on the same location already occupied by the Dome 26:08.560 --> 26:09.200 of the Rocks? 26:09.420 --> 26:13.600 Is it necessary for sacrifices to take place in the temple on Temple Mount? 26:14.220 --> 26:17.400 Is there really a rapture followed by seven years of tribulation? 26:18.220 --> 26:19.660 What is the New Testament Temple? 26:20.520 --> 26:22.640 Can we identify history and prophecy? 26:23.600 --> 26:26.380 Who is the first beast in Revelation chapter 13? 26:26.920 --> 26:29.640 Who are the seven kings in Revelation 17? 26:29.640 --> 26:33.980 I have asked all these questions and I have found Nicholas Arthur's new book, 26:34.560 --> 26:38.840 When the Third Temple is Built, answers all these questions and more using 26:38.840 --> 26:40.440 scripture to interpret scripture. 26:41.180 --> 26:44.560 The Bible says that no prophecy of scripture is of any private 26:44.560 --> 26:45.300 interpretation. 26:46.120 --> 26:49.000 Nicholas shows us in his new book, When the Third Temple is Built, 26:49.240 --> 26:53.640 how the Bible interprets prophecy and not man's private interpretation. 26:54.640 --> 27:03.760 Visit crosstheborder.org to get your print, e-pub, or PDF version of Nicholas 27:03.760 --> 27:07.020 Arthur's new book titled, When the Third Temple is Built. 27:07.240 --> 27:09.100 That's crosstheborder.org. 27:10.940 --> 27:17.560 The book of Revelation says, The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. 27:17.900 --> 27:21.600 This is at the very heart of firstamendmentradio.com. 27:21.600 --> 27:27.120 In that spirit, we have created the Prophecy commercially viable? 28:11.560 --> 28:13.300 That's Inquisition Update. 28:13.520 --> 28:16.340 The rare truth just isn't commercially viable. 28:16.880 --> 28:24.120 That means, well, the big givers can't support this truth. 28:24.120 --> 28:26.420 It's just too controversial. 28:27.520 --> 28:32.440 And so, it's up to the little people, those who love the truth, to support the 28:32.440 --> 28:32.700 truth. 28:33.220 --> 28:36.620 If you'd like to support the truth, please support First Amendment Radio, 28:36.780 --> 28:38.500 who sponsors Inquisition Update. 28:39.820 --> 28:42.160 Now, back to the book, Sola Scriptura. 28:43.540 --> 28:49.500 Speaking of these empty arguments by the Roman Catholic Church, their authority to 28:49.500 --> 28:55.800 canonize the scriptures, their authority to authenticate God's Word. 28:56.080 --> 28:58.260 I mean, it's ridiculous on its face. 28:59.080 --> 29:02.100 It is absurd on its face. 29:02.420 --> 29:05.780 More, it is diabolical on its face. 29:06.900 --> 29:09.300 Again, the argument fails. 29:10.160 --> 29:15.040 Suppose an athletic trainer offers a perfect diet with all the nutritional 29:15.040 --> 29:17.880 elements one needs to produce a perfect body. 29:18.600 --> 29:25.280 This doesn't mean that the other things, such as exercise, aren't necessary. 29:26.680 --> 29:31.080 Paul is saying that the doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in 29:31.080 --> 29:37.580 righteousness contained in the scripture is sufficient teaching for the man or the 29:37.580 --> 29:42.560 woman of God to be all that God desires of them. 29:43.520 --> 29:49.740 This does not mean that one doesn't have to exercise patience, faith, obedience, 29:49.980 --> 29:50.960 and charity, etc. 29:51.360 --> 29:53.920 which themselves are taught by the scripture. 29:55.160 --> 30:01.780 It does mean that in the area of doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in 30:01.780 --> 30:08.700 righteousness, the Bible needs no supplementation from tradition or any 30:08.700 --> 30:09.760 other source. 30:11.020 --> 30:16.780 Moreover, the Apostle Paul goes on to say that the man or the woman of God is, 30:17.020 --> 30:22.880 by the scriptures themselves, quote, thoroughly prepared unto every good work, 30:23.280 --> 30:23.700 unquote. 30:24.220 --> 30:28.960 The Bible never makes such a statement about patience, or love, or charity, 30:29.240 --> 30:31.480 or tradition, or anything else. 30:31.480 --> 30:36.800 Paul is clearly teaching sola scriptura. 30:37.940 --> 30:41.500 This doctrine was not invented by the Protestant Reformers. 30:42.120 --> 30:44.260 They derived it from scripture. 30:46.060 --> 30:47.960 What's the central issue? 30:48.880 --> 30:50.000 A clear choice. 30:51.220 --> 30:57.820 When Thomas Howard, brother of Elizabeth Elliot, wife of martyred missionary Jim 30:57.820 --> 31:03.040 Elliot, became a Catholic, Gordon College removed him from its faculty. 31:04.200 --> 31:09.460 Among the reasons given was the fact that the statement of faith which all faculty 31:09.460 --> 31:16.360 had to sign affirmed the Bible as, quote, the only infallible guide in faith 31:16.360 --> 31:17.840 and practice, unquote. 31:18.580 --> 31:21.120 Impossible for a Roman Catholic to sign. 31:22.400 --> 31:27.800 Howard acknowledged that, quote, the sole authority of scripture is a 31:27.800 --> 31:34.420 principle unique to Protestantism and that he, as a Roman Catholic, could not 31:34.420 --> 31:36.380 subscribe to it, unquote. 31:37.820 --> 31:43.020 Sola scriptura remains the central issue at heart of the Protestant Reformation. 31:43.780 --> 31:49.340 One must choose between submitting to the authority of the Bible or to that of the 31:49.340 --> 31:50.180 Roman Catholic Church. 31:50.180 --> 31:51.820 You can't have it both ways. 31:53.020 --> 31:57.100 One cannot do both because of the clear conflict between the two. 31:58.100 --> 32:01.280 The choice one must make is obvious. 32:02.280 --> 32:07.800 Blind submission to any earthly hierarchy in itself contradicts the Bible. 32:08.720 --> 32:13.540 Moreover, we've given more than sufficient evidence, more than sufficient evidence 32:13.540 --> 32:17.820 from history to show that the Roman Catholic Church, from the Pope right on 32:17.820 --> 32:23.320 down, has forfeited any claim it may ever have had to be trusted. 32:24.100 --> 32:29.900 The most tragic consequence of the blind faith in their church is the sole 32:29.900 --> 32:34.920 interpreter of the Word of God for mankind is that hundreds of millions of Roman 32:34.920 --> 32:39.400 Catholics consequently trust it for their eternal destiny. 32:39.400 --> 32:46.220 The question of salvation, therefore, is also a key issue necessarily separating 32:46.220 --> 32:49.320 Roman Catholics and Evangelicals. 32:51.380 --> 32:53.340 The message is clear. 32:55.080 --> 33:03.520 There is no legitimate ecumenical reunion between Protestantism and Roman 33:03.520 --> 33:04.380 Catholicism. 33:04.680 --> 33:07.200 They are mutually exclusive events. 33:07.200 --> 33:12.300 So what you get when you ecumenically reunite with the Roman Catholic Church? 33:13.180 --> 33:17.300 You have put yourself under another master. 33:19.340 --> 33:24.320 And one which with God will not share space. 33:26.000 --> 33:33.320 You've essentially rejected the God of the Protestants, the God of the Bible. 33:34.600 --> 33:39.960 And you've accepted the authority of the God of this world, Satan himself. 33:42.710 --> 33:47.390 Now we'll continue to chapter 23 entitled, A Question of Salvation. 33:48.250 --> 33:52.150 This gets right to the heart of the issue and before we begin we'll read the quotes 33:52.150 --> 33:53.410 on the previous page. 33:54.630 --> 33:59.670 This from Galatians chapter 1 verse 8, chapter 2 verse 16. 34:00.630 --> 34:06.050 Though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which 34:06.050 --> 34:09.710 we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 34:11.330 --> 34:17.370 A man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ. 34:18.450 --> 34:22.330 For by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 34:24.210 --> 34:26.610 Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 and 9. 34:27.570 --> 34:33.190 For by grace are ye saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves. 34:33.730 --> 34:38.890 It is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. 34:40.070 --> 34:46.070 From the Council of Trent, the Counter-Reformation Council of Trent. 34:46.650 --> 34:52.850 The Jesuit led Counter-Reformation Council of Trent, session 7. 34:53.850 --> 35:00.270 Quote, if anyone says that the sacraments of the new law, that is of the Roman 35:00.270 --> 35:07.690 Catholic Church, are not necessary for salvation, but that without them men 35:07.690 --> 35:14.150 obtain from God through faith alone the grace of justification, let him be 35:14.150 --> 35:14.990 anathema. 35:15.630 --> 35:17.350 Let him be accursed. 35:18.850 --> 35:25.030 Here another quote, this one from Second Vatican Council Apostolic Constitution on 35:25.030 --> 35:26.730 the Revision of Indulgences. 35:27.670 --> 35:34.170 Quote, from the most ancient times in the church, good works were also offered to 35:34.170 --> 35:36.150 God for the salvation of sinners. 35:36.910 --> 35:42.330 By the prayers and good works of holy people, the penitent was washed, 35:42.790 --> 35:44.550 cleansed, and redeemed. 35:45.470 --> 35:50.890 Following in Christ's steps, those who believe in him have always carried their 35:50.890 --> 35:56.510 crosses to make expiation for their own sins and for the sins of others, 35:56.990 --> 36:00.930 to help their brothers to obtain salvation from God. 36:01.690 --> 36:02.170 Unquote. 36:04.250 --> 36:06.870 See the two different sources of salvation? 36:08.350 --> 36:11.230 One is godly, Protestant. 36:12.230 --> 36:16.190 The other is Roman Catholic, Antichrist. 36:17.210 --> 36:19.510 A question of salvation. 36:21.490 --> 36:28.150 Sacred tradition and sacred scripture make up a single sacred deposit of the word of 36:28.150 --> 36:30.310 God, says Vatican Council 2. 36:31.170 --> 36:37.330 When it's tradition and the Bible conflict, Rome goes by tradition. 36:38.450 --> 36:43.130 Thereby is created the widest difference between Protestants and Catholics. 36:43.830 --> 36:45.230 The question of salvation. 36:46.310 --> 36:52.510 That vast chasm of division, recognized for 400 years by both Protestants and 36:52.510 --> 36:58.630 Catholics, neither of whom has changed basic beliefs, is now denied by leading 36:58.630 --> 36:59.830 evangelicals. 37:00.830 --> 37:05.270 Charles Colson, for example, in response to questions concerning his embracing 37:05.270 --> 37:12.130 Catholics as Christians, says, quote, We have differences, but on the 37:12.130 --> 37:16.790 ancient creeds and the core beliefs of Christianity, we stand together. 37:17.150 --> 37:17.690 Unquote. 37:18.570 --> 37:20.410 Not so, says Dave Hunt. 37:21.210 --> 37:27.190 Agreement on the creeds, yes, but the creeds say nothing about how one is saved. 37:28.170 --> 37:32.230 Salvation is the one most important core belief in Christianity. 37:33.310 --> 37:37.550 And on that point, the differences between evangelicals and Roman Catholics is as 37:37.550 --> 37:42.150 great as the difference between eternal life and eternal judgment. 37:43.410 --> 37:45.690 The saved and the unsaved. 37:46.710 --> 37:49.710 The Bible says there are two classes of people. 37:50.590 --> 37:54.750 Those who are saved and those who are unsaved, or lost. 37:55.770 --> 38:01.030 Christ himself declared that his mission was to save a world of lost people. 38:01.550 --> 38:06.590 Quote, The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. 38:07.130 --> 38:08.970 Luke chapter 19, verse 10. 38:10.010 --> 38:12.830 Quote, I came to save the world. 38:13.250 --> 38:13.770 Unquote. 38:14.290 --> 38:16.350 John chapter 12, verse 47. 38:17.370 --> 38:18.670 God sent him. 38:19.290 --> 38:23.730 Quote, That the world might through him be saved. 38:23.730 --> 38:26.470 John chapter 3, verse 17. 38:27.670 --> 38:33.230 Paul testified, quote, Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 38:33.670 --> 38:35.910 1 Timothy 1, verse 15. 38:36.930 --> 38:38.210 Save them from what? 38:39.550 --> 38:43.670 From the judgment of God, eternally separating them from God's presence 38:43.670 --> 38:44.790 because of sin. 38:45.770 --> 38:50.890 Quote, He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life. 38:50.890 --> 38:57.450 And he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth 38:57.450 --> 38:58.130 upon him. 38:58.630 --> 39:00.670 John chapter 3, verse 36. 39:02.430 --> 39:09.330 Quote, In flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey 39:09.330 --> 39:14.730 not the gospel, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence 39:14.730 --> 39:19.610 of the Lord, that they all might be damned who believe not the truth. 39:19.610 --> 39:25.270 2 Thessalonians, chapter 1, verse 8 and 9, and chapter 2, verse 12. 39:27.750 --> 39:34.030 Whosoever was not written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. 39:34.610 --> 39:37.210 Revelation chapter 20, verse 15. 39:38.610 --> 39:44.350 The gospel declares, quote, That Christ died for our sins according to the 39:44.350 --> 39:48.770 scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day. 39:48.770 --> 39:51.530 1 Corinthians 15, 3 and 4. 39:53.030 --> 39:58.070 Evangelicals believe the gospel not merely as a fact of history, but as offering them 39:58.070 --> 40:03.110 forgiveness for their sins and eternal life, as a free gift of God's grace. 40:04.450 --> 40:10.150 Paul said, this is the gospel, quote, by which also ye are saved. 40:10.450 --> 40:10.930 Unquote. 40:11.090 --> 40:13.390 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 2. 40:14.230 --> 40:18.430 On that basis, the evangelical knows he is saved. 40:20.410 --> 40:26.970 One, quote, gets saved, unquote, the moment one believes the gospel. 40:28.150 --> 40:31.230 To the earnest cry, what must I do to be saved? 40:31.530 --> 40:37.430 According to Acts chapter 16, verse 30, Paul responded, quote, Believe on the Lord 40:37.430 --> 40:40.270 Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. 40:40.630 --> 40:41.390 Verse 31. 40:41.390 --> 40:43.010 It's that simple. 40:44.070 --> 40:49.850 The moment faith is placed in Christ, one is saved, never to be lost again. 40:51.050 --> 40:57.110 One has, quote, passed from death unto life, unquote, and is no longer under 40:57.110 --> 40:57.950 God's judgment. 40:58.550 --> 41:00.230 John chapter 5, verse 24. 41:01.590 --> 41:07.810 Heaven is now one's home, and death means to be, quote, absent from the body and 41:07.810 --> 41:08.910 present with the Lord. 41:08.910 --> 41:11.170 2 Corinthians 5.8. 41:12.130 --> 41:17.530 The Bible says, quote, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten 41:17.530 --> 41:25.650 Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. 41:27.030 --> 41:34.110 I am the door, said Jesus, by me if any man enter, he shall be saved. 41:35.850 --> 41:45.030 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and I give unto them 41:45.030 --> 41:49.130 eternal life, and they shall never perish. 41:51.650 --> 41:53.930 Unto us which are saved, 41:56.950 --> 42:02.330 it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe, 42:03.310 --> 42:05.670 by which also ye are saved. 42:06.510 --> 42:08.930 By grace are ye saved. 42:10.170 --> 42:12.410 Who will have all men to be saved? 42:13.090 --> 42:14.810 Who hath saved us? 42:16.190 --> 42:19.630 According to his mercy he saved us. 42:20.730 --> 42:23.030 The nations of them which are saved. 42:24.610 --> 42:27.370 All of these things are from God's book. 42:28.310 --> 42:29.250 The Bible. 42:30.370 --> 42:36.990 And what Roman Catholic priest could ever say, ye are saved. 42:37.970 --> 42:39.470 Not one. 42:41.770 --> 42:48.810 Because they know that even after death, the one who dies must go to purgatory to 42:48.810 --> 42:50.610 keep purging his sins. 42:52.150 --> 42:59.310 And only then can they go to heaven if their sins can be purged away. 42:59.810 --> 43:02.210 There is no salvation in the Roman Catholic Church. 43:02.610 --> 43:08.510 There is never in any Roman Catholic's life, according to Roman Catholic 43:08.510 --> 43:13.250 teaching, if they believe what the Roman Catholic Church teaches, there is not one 43:13.250 --> 43:17.690 period of time in the Roman Catholic's life, from cradle to grave, that he is 43:17.690 --> 43:19.410 ever assured of salvation. 43:20.610 --> 43:26.890 Continuing on page 349 of the book, it says the Evangelical believes that 43:26.890 --> 43:33.050 having accepted Christ's offer of pardon and eternal life, he is a Christian, 43:33.490 --> 43:36.490 born of the Holy Spirit into God's family. 43:37.730 --> 43:42.370 He is certain that as a child of God, he will never perish. 43:42.790 --> 43:44.790 John chapter 10 verse 28. 43:45.350 --> 43:48.210 Nor, quote, come into condemnation. 43:48.730 --> 43:50.730 John chapter 5 verse 24. 43:51.730 --> 43:58.770 His salvation is secure, because by God's wonderful grace, Christ's death paid the 43:58.770 --> 44:00.170 penalty for his sins. 44:00.890 --> 44:08.150 So says God's word, quote, He that believeth on the Son of God hath the 44:08.150 --> 44:14.070 witness in himself, that is the assurance of the Holy Spirit in his heart, 44:14.690 --> 44:23.490 that he that believeth not God hath made him a liar, because he believeth not the 44:23.490 --> 44:25.710 record that God gave of his Son. 44:26.790 --> 44:33.310 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is 44:33.310 --> 44:34.150 in his Son. 44:35.270 --> 44:41.770 He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath 44:41.770 --> 44:42.570 not life. 44:43.470 --> 44:47.750 These things have I written unto you, that you believe on the name of the Son of 44:47.750 --> 44:54.350 God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name 44:54.350 --> 44:55.550 of the Son of God. 44:56.130 --> 45:01.750 1 John 5 verse 10-13 What a wonderful salvation! 45:02.030 --> 45:03.550 What a wonderful assurance! 45:05.030 --> 45:11.890 No Roman Catholic, no Roman Catholic, has that assurance. 45:14.500 --> 45:21.180 The evangelical goal, salvation of sinners, While growing up in an 45:21.180 --> 45:27.820 evangelical home, and church, one may believe the gospel intellectually from a 45:27.820 --> 45:31.240 child, yet realize he has not yet saved. 45:32.360 --> 45:36.940 Merely mentally, all that the Bible says does not save. 45:37.460 --> 45:41.420 One must personally receive Christ as Savior. 45:42.660 --> 45:45.560 In that act of faith, one is saved. 45:45.560 --> 45:49.600 For by grace are ye saved, through faith. 45:50.000 --> 45:54.520 Ephesians 2 verse 8 Everything is now different. 45:55.300 --> 45:57.460 One has become a new creature in Christ. 45:58.020 --> 45:59.780 Old things are passed away. 46:00.340 --> 46:02.440 Behold, all things are become new. 46:03.040 --> 46:08.560 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17 The person is now saved. 46:09.040 --> 46:12.960 A member of the universal church, not through joining a Baptist, 46:13.260 --> 46:16.760 or a Lutheran, or a Methodist, or a Catholic, or any other church, 46:17.580 --> 46:21.980 but through the Spirit of God, having placed him in the body of Christ. 46:22.980 --> 46:27.680 Quote, The Lord added to the church daily, such as should be saved. 46:28.140 --> 46:28.520 Unquote. 46:28.700 --> 46:35.240 Acts chapter 2 verse 47 Quote, For by one Spirit are we all baptized into 46:35.240 --> 46:39.280 one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles. 46:39.820 --> 46:47.160 1 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 13 This is the good news of the gospel. 46:48.500 --> 46:53.440 Christ told his disciples to quote, Go into all the world and preach the 46:53.440 --> 46:53.880 gospel. 46:54.280 --> 47:00.280 Mark chapter 16 verse 15 So that his mission of saving sinners would be 47:00.280 --> 47:00.820 accomplished. 47:01.640 --> 47:06.400 The primary goal of evangelicals is to preach the gospel to the lost, 47:06.520 --> 47:08.240 so that they might be saved. 47:09.200 --> 47:12.900 Peter said, We quote, Must be saved. 47:13.120 --> 47:13.900 Unquote. 47:14.120 --> 47:17.960 Acts chapter 4 verse 12 Through Jesus. 47:18.560 --> 47:21.400 Since there is no other way of salvation. 47:22.720 --> 47:25.420 Paul's passion for this... 47:25.420 --> 47:31.400 Paul's passion for his fellow Jews was quote, That they might be saved. 47:32.060 --> 47:39.320 Romans chapter 10 verse 1 Such is the desire of the evangelical for all mankind, 47:39.940 --> 47:41.560 including Roman Catholics. 47:42.780 --> 47:45.640 Come out of her, my people. 47:46.240 --> 47:48.300 Come out of the Roman Catholic Church. 47:48.580 --> 47:50.420 Come out of the ecumenical prophecy today, much of the Evangelical 51:55.200 --> 52:00.040 Christian world has their eyes on Israel, waiting and watching to see when the Third 52:00.040 --> 52:01.340 Temple will begin to be built. 52:01.800 --> 52:03.140 The plans are drawn. 52:03.280 --> 52:04.580 The Jewish people are eager. 52:05.200 --> 52:08.920 Most Evangelical Christians today believe that the rapture will happen before the 52:08.920 --> 52:09.880 Third Temple is built. 52:10.380 --> 52:11.880 Hi, I'm Michael Eugene. 52:12.220 --> 52:15.040 I was taught that Daniel's 70th week was in the future. 52:15.660 --> 52:17.340 Is that really what the Bible teaches? 52:17.340 --> 52:20.920 Have we searched the Scriptures and found this to be true? 52:21.660 --> 52:25.220 Why is it so important for a re-established Israel to build a Third 52:25.220 --> 52:26.100 Temple in Jerusalem? 52:26.820 --> 52:31.320 Is it necessary to build a Temple on the same location already occupied by the Dome 52:31.320 --> 52:31.800 of the Rock? 52:32.260 --> 52:36.360 Is it necessary for sacrifices to take place in the Temple on Temple Mount? 52:36.840 --> 52:40.160 Is there really a rapture followed by seven years of tribulation? 52:40.980 --> 52:42.440 What is the New Testament Temple? 52:43.180 --> 52:45.400 Can we identify history and prophecy? 52:45.400 --> 52:49.180 Who is the first beast in Revelation Chapter 13? 52:49.860 --> 52:52.420 Who are the seven kings in Revelation 17? 52:53.200 --> 52:56.760 I have asked all these questions and I have found Nicholas Arthur's new book, 52:57.060 --> 53:01.600 When the Third Temple is Built, answers all these questions and more using 53:01.600 --> 53:03.200 Scripture to interpret Scripture. 53:03.820 --> 53:07.340 The Bible says that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private 53:07.340 --> 53:08.060 interpretation. 53:08.860 --> 53:11.760 Nicholas shows us in his new book, When the Third Temple is Built, 53:11.760 --> 53:16.440 how the Bible interprets prophecy and not man's private interpretation. 53:17.600 --> 53:23.740 Visit crosstheborder.org C-R-O-S-S crosstheborder.org to get your print, 53:24.160 --> 53:29.420 e-pub, or PDF version
